TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING

TPMS SERVICE & PROGRAMMING

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) sensors keep you safe and legal. We supply, fit, programme and relearn TPMS sensors for all vehicle types at our Deeside depot.

WHAT IS TPMS?

YOUR TYRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM

TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) is a safety system fitted to all new cars sold in the UK since November 2014. It monitors the air pressure in each tyre and alerts the driver when pressure drops to an unsafe level — typically 25% below the recommended pressure.

When a TPMS warning light appears on your dashboard, it means one or more tyres are significantly under-inflated, or there is a fault with a sensor. Driving on under-inflated tyres increases the risk of a blowout, reduces fuel economy and causes premature tyre wear.

TPMS sensors are battery-powered devices fitted inside the wheel. They typically last 5–10 years before the battery fails. When you replace tyres or wheels, the sensors must be reprogrammed to the new position — this is called a relearn procedure.

WHAT WE OFFER

OUR TPMS SERVICES

SENSOR SUPPLY & FITTING

We supply and fit OEM-quality and aftermarket TPMS sensors for all vehicle makes and models. Universal programmable sensors available for most applications.

SENSOR PROGRAMMING

Using the latest TPMS diagnostic tools, we programme sensors to match your vehicle's ECU. This ensures the system recognises each sensor and displays accurate pressure readings.

RELEARN PROCEDURES

After fitting new tyres or rotating wheels, the TPMS system must be retrained to recognise sensor positions. We carry out static and dynamic relearn procedures for all vehicle types.

FAULT DIAGNOSIS

TPMS warning light on? We can diagnose the fault — whether it's a dead sensor battery, a damaged sensor, a pressure issue, or a system fault — and advise on the best course of action.

SENSOR REPLACEMENT

Sensors with dead batteries or physical damage must be replaced. We stock a wide range of sensors and can usually replace on the same day.

VALVE CORE & SERVICE KITS

TPMS valve cores and service kit replacement when fitting new tyres — essential maintenance to prevent leaks and sensor damage.

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR TPMS LIGHT COMES ON

01

CHECK YOUR TYRE PRESSURES

Use a reliable gauge to check all four tyres (and the spare if fitted). Inflate any under-inflated tyres to the correct pressure shown in your vehicle handbook or door sill sticker.

02

DRIVE CAREFULLY

If a tyre is significantly under-inflated, drive slowly and carefully to the nearest safe location. Do not drive at motorway speeds on a severely under-inflated tyre.

03

CALL AGRI PLANT

If the light stays on after inflating your tyres, or you are unsure of the cause, call us. We can diagnose the fault and advise whether you need a sensor repair, replacement or relearn.
